from: There is one population of people that experience panic attacks much more than others. If you experience panic attacks, depression, anxiety, females are common variables in whether you will have panic attacks. Each of these feed off each other and can cause one another.

Being a female, you go through a series of hormone changes throughout the month. These hormones can affect the way you feel by altering your mood and behavior. These changes can cause anxiety. Anxiety rises when you are faced with a situation that you may find fearful, stressful or worrisome. Sometimes hormones can cause you to feel more anxious than you normally would. This anxiety can lead to depression.
Depression is a common result of anxiety due to feeling like you cannot handle things or your anxiety has become so much out of control that you are not able to function. Depression can also cause and intensify anxiety. When people are suffering from Depression they may be unable to sleep or receive a restful night sleep. If you don’t get enough sleep than you may feel irritable and stressed which just adds to feeling “on edge”. So as you can see, anxiety can cause depression and depression can cause anxiety.
If you suffer from severe Depression or anxiety then it may lead to panic attacks. Panic attacks are a result of feeling out of control, intense fear or terror or anxiety that has reached extreme limits. Panic attacks will cause you to have psychological and physical symptoms. The physical symptoms you experience will be directly related to your fear and worry that you are experiencing. Your heart may race; have heart palpitations, sweat or twitch. You may feel physically ill because of the situation.
Panic Attacks Depression Anxiety Female Treatment
If you feel that your symptoms are a result of hormonal changes, you can seek help from your healthcare professional. You may need some hormone treatment or some psychotropic medication. Antidepressants are commonly used to help females who experience depression and anxiety throughout their cycles. They are also popular in helping those who experience frequent panic attacks. The most effective antidepressants for panic attacks, depression, anxiety, females have used to find relief are Serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) and Benzodiazepines. Some medication brand names that are classified under SSRIs are Prozac, Zoloft and Paxil. Benzodiazepines include Xanax, Valium, Ativan and Klonopin. These medications will help panic attacks, depression, anxiety females experience.
Panic attacks, depression, anxiety, females feel can be helped and it is important to contact your doctor to start feeling better. Your doctor can give you a full evaluation of your symptoms and be able to refer you to a therapist if you both feel that it would benefit. These variables do not mean you are destined to have panic attacks, it just means that you may need some help.
